Trump calls Yogi Adityanath and offers mediation on Chakbandi

After offering mediation between India and China last week, today US President Donald Trump called Yogi Adityanath and offered to mediate on the Chakbandi issues in the villages of Uttar Pradesh. For the unaware, Chakbandi is the process of land consolidation in which fragmented pieces of land are rearranged into larger land holdings. After the call got over, Trump tweeted that he is very sincere about solving the disputes among villagers and even updated his profile photo on Twitter, in which he is seen wearing Pagdi on his head. Also, he is clad in white dhoti-kurta and smoking hookah sitting in a Bamboo Mudda Chair. This chair was gifted to him by Priyanka Chopra as part of making Desi culture famous globally. Trump also said that if CM Yogi ji agrees, he will change his Twitter handle from 'RealDonaldTrump' to 'RealTauDonaldTrump'. When a farmer in Mathura was asked about this proposal, he said that he would love to see Trump babu under the Neem Tree at his village ...

Evolution of methods of payments

● Barter system People used to exchange one type of Goods and Services with another type of Goods and Services.  Problems: 1. No common measure of value was there. It was difficult to decide that how many Apples would be enough for buying 1cow. 2. Seller and buyer needed to coordinate with their respective Goods and Services. For example, if one needs a cow and has surplus apples, they need someone in need of apples and cows in excess. 3. Transportation could be difficult. One may not be able to carry the good everywhere. ● Commodity money: A valuable commodity is used physically to exchange goods. The commodity holds its value even after it's melted down. For example, People started minting coins made of various metals like Copper, Silver and Gold. Problems: 1. Metals can be heavy to transport. 2. Carrying Gold coins can be unsafe for your well-being. Anyone could rob or even murder you for this expensive metal. 3. Uncertainty about purity of the metal. ● Commodity backed money: C...

Paid Housework

Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu and Makkal Needhi Maiam, the political party led by superstar of South Kamal Haasan, has made an election promise to pay the women for their work at home. This has also been endorsed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. Well, for MNM, this might be a move to attract one of the largest voter bases, i.e. Women but is it actually feasible? (Source: www.sheroes.com) First of all, salaries are for workers who actually contribute to our GDP, where is the home-maker's role? Well, homemakers do not directly build a product or provide chargeable services to others. But, they do provide services to the earning members of the family for free, which results into having a good enough lifestyle at much cheaper rates. This means industries can keep them happy in lower salaries too and invest the saved capital in contributing more to GDP. So, there do exist indirect benefits for the economy. But, how does one measure and value the household work? For example, a w...

Well, the most loved season is here- Winters! Yay! People simply love to dress up in those cute sweaters, and munch on the exclusive winter delicacies. Umm, let's talk about the EXCLUSIVES!! Sun : Oh, the lifeline. My every winter day is passed feeling like Jadoo from ' Koi Mil Gaya '. And, on a bright sunny day, this world feels so happy and so beautiful. This is not it. Finally, our Vitamin-D deficient selves get some good dose in the season.                                          (Source: https://memechat.app/posts/1/1185892/1) Snow: Chalo yar, Kasol jana hai. Well, every Delhiite is in Himachal right now and every Mumbaikar is in Maldives. The perennial never successful Goa plan become the Shimla-Manali plan in winters. People like me certainly find it too daring to go to the even colder climate right now. But, well, if you don't have Siddharth Malhotra to your Shraddha K...

Disha

#UnpopularOpinion :- TL;DR: The Hyderabad Encounter does not solve the problem. 1. According to common man’s perspective, justice has been delivered to Disha. Those who do not behave like humans do not deserve any human-like behavior. People, wanted instant justice which has been delivered by Cyberabad Police. But, IMO, Police can only nab the culprits. They can't deliver justice by executing extra-judicial killings. Mob-justice can never be the solution. Personally, I didn't feel good when I heard in the morning that the four were killed in an encounter. Would this mob justice stop future crimes? 2. Everyone is hailing the police chief as a hero now. But, had the Police been so much concerned about delivering justice, why they claimed that the girl must have eloped with someone and refused to file the complaint citing “area out of jurisdiction” when her sister approached them within half an hour of her last call. The place is less than 10 minutes from the station, though. All ...

Dear SSR, we miss you!

It was 2013. I was reading Femina in the college library because the cover featured 3 of my favorite actors. I still remember the magazine cover clearly. All dressed up in denims, sitting on the car hood- Aditya Roy Kapoor, the handsome man, Arjun Kapoor, for some strange reason, I liked him then, and Sushant Singh Rajput, the one with the best smile. Yes, the cheerful smile.  A few years later, I happened to follow him on Instagram. I don't follow many Bollywood celebs but his feed was different. Not to mention that his smile is a reason enough to follow him there. I was impressed with his bucket-list. Full of scientific, adventurous and philanthropic goals. His poetry. And mention of Shiv Shambhu in almost every post. Not to forget how he used to donate to fundraisers and keep their link in his bio. Which other celeb does that? I waited so eagerly for the release of Sonchiriya. Look at the cast, who won't be? It received very nice reviews. Sadly, it was shown on too few scre...

Boycott China?

(Source: Facebook/HEROES IN UNIFORM) Imagine, dying at 22. Only the first posting. Leaving behind grieving parents, little kids. Gone too soon, no? If you still continue to fuel Chinese economy, you're indirectly responsible for these supreme sacrifices, colonization of poor countries, lack of entrepreneurial culture in our nation, and much more you don't have any idea of. All you need to do is MAKE A CONSCIOUS CHOICE. And, it's not even that difficult. Buy an Asus, not RealMe. Use Dubsmash, not TikTok. And with those serious privacy issues, why does one even want to keep such apps on their phone? Try to adopt swadeshi culture- healthier, environment friendly, pocket friendly. Just support local. And don't be so stupid to smash your TV sets now. It only degrades environment, nothing more. People are dying for you, can you do little in return? If suicide of an actor can fuel discussion on mental health and nepotism, these soldiers' sacrifices shouldn...
